Creative Craft Cottage-Fantasy/Fairies

For Creative Craft Cottage our theme was Fantasy/Fairies.  I used an image by Nikki Burnette titled Rowenia.    Image may contain: 1 person, text   I imagined her as a spring fairy so I chose to use bright green colors with a touch of lavender.

CCC Digi Creations-Add Some Glitter

For the team at CCC Digi Creations our theme was to Add some Glitter.  Our sponsor for this challenge was Star Stampz and I used an image titled Spring Ladybug.    No automatic alt text available.  It is hard to tell in the picture but I added glitter to the dress, the ladybug, the flower in her hair, and the red in her hair.

Simply Create Too-Anniversary

Our theme at Simply Create Too was ‘Anniversary’.   I didnt have any idea what to create for this challenge.  I had wanted to use the stamp with the birds for awhile but it did not fit with projects that I was working on so I decided to try and make it work with this theme.  I am glad I did.  I heat embossed it with black and then added the color with distress ink.  I just played around with it until it had the right feel to it.

Creative Craft Cottage-use diecuts and/or punches

For the design team at Creative Craft Cottage I used an image by Delicious Doodles titled Hydrangea Flower          Image may contain: text                                                                                                                                                                                                  I colored the image with copic markers and created the background with distress inks.  To tie in with the theme I used a punch to create the border at the top and bottom of the card.

Daisy Chain Challenges-Spring is in the Air

At Daisy Chain Challenge our theme was ‘Spring is in the Air’.  I used a stamp by this wonderful company called Unity Stamps for the Easter Chick and another stamp set to create the background.  I love the way the background stamp blurred a little when I added some distress ink to make it more of a spring pink rather than just white.  To be honest adding the pink was an afterthought but I think it turned out really well.

Get Creative Challenges- Use Flowers and Lace

For Get Creative Challenges I used an image by Drawn by Krista titled Smiling Flower Bouquet                                                   Image may contain: text  To be honest this is not one of my favorite cards.  I tried to create a background with paint and it did not come out the way it looked in my head lol.  The image is so super cute though (and it came with the sentiments) that I wish I had done a lot better by it.  I had been sick with the flu and did not have time to make another one though.

Dragonfly Dreams- Anything goes

For the design team at Dragonfly Dreams I used an image by Fred She Said titled Emma and Rosy                        Image may contain: text I colored the image with copic markers and then embossed the background paper with a hearts folder.  I then randomly painted some of the hearts with pink chalk paint.
