Daisy Chain Challenges

Our challenge at Daisy Chain Challenge was ‘Anything Goes’.  I recently went to a stamp convention and fell in love with a new (to me ) technique.   You use versamark ink to stamp and image and then you use distress inks to add color.  The stamped image will resist the ink.  I used a stamp I had on hand and just had fun experimenting with the technique.

Creative Craft Cottage

For Creative Craft Cottage our theme was ‘No patterned paper’.  I used an image by Delicious Doodles  titled A Scottish Castle.                                                                                                                                                                 Image may contain: text      I lightly colored the image with colored pencils and then added bold background colors to really make the image jump off the page.

Inspired by Song/Nursery Rhyme

For the design team at CCC Digi Creations I used an image by Pink Gem Designs titled Milly in the Rain.                                              No automatic alt text available.   I was inspired by the kids song ” Rain, Rain, go away”.  I usually like to color my images but I loved the soft feel of the colored image so I opted to use it instead.  It is hard to tell in the photo but I used glossy medium on the raindrops and the rain puddle at her feet.

Creative Craft Cottage

For the design team at Creative Craft Cottage I used an image by All Dressed Up titled Pretty in Plaits.        No automatic alt text available.       I just lightly colored the image and then placed it behind a frame I created.  Our theme this time was ‘Eileen’s challenge-include a lavender ribbon or bow’.  Because I wanted to also place it behind the frame but next to the image I didnt center the image but placed it more to the right.
