Our theme at Simply Create Too was ‘Anniversary’. I didnt have any idea what to create for this challenge. I had wanted to use the stamp with the birds for awhile but it did not fit with projects that I was working on so I decided to try and make it work with this theme. I am glad I did. I heat embossed it with black and then added the color with distress ink. I just played around with it until it had the right feel to it.
At Daisy Chain Challenge our theme was ‘Spring is in the Air’. I used a stamp by this wonderful company called Unity Stamps for the Easter Chick and another stamp set to create the background. I love the way the background stamp blurred a little when I added some distress ink to make it more of a spring pink rather than just white. To be honest adding the pink was an afterthought but I think it turned out really well.
For Get Creative Challenges I used an image by Drawn by Krista titled Smiling Flower Bouquet To be honest this is not one of my favorite cards. I tried to create a background with paint and it did not come out the way it looked in my head lol. The image is so super cute though (and it came with the sentiments) that I wish I had done a lot better by it. I had been sick with the flu and did not have time to make another one though.
For the design team at Angie’s Digital Stamps I used an image titled Easter Basket. I colored the image with copic markers and added some glitter to the heart. I used a premade green card but added some spray mist to give it dimension. I also embossed on the sentiment and added a cute bunny sticker and some sequins.
